Clyentz (“Clyentz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to transparency about how the Clyentz Chrome Extension (the “Extension”) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information.

This policy applies specifically to the Extension and its interaction with the Clyentz platform. By installing or using the Extension, you acknowledge the practices described here.

1. Purpose of the Extension

The Extension’s single purpose is to help users identify, structure, research, and save publicly available business, company, professional, and prospect information from webpages selected by the user into their Clyentz workspace.

The Extension does not continuously monitor browsing activity. It accesses page information only when needed to provide a feature the user invokes, such as opening Clyentz on a supported page or choosing to research or extract information.

2. Information the Extension may access

Depending on the selected page and requested feature, the Extension may access:

  • Page URL and title.
  • Public names, job titles, professional roles, employers, profile information, and profile locations.
  • Public company names, descriptions, websites, domains, industries, and locations.
  • Public social-profile URLs, business email addresses, and business telephone numbers.
  • Visible employee or company profile information and source/confidence metadata relevant to the requested research.

The Extension does not intentionally collect unrelated page content and does not transmit raw full-page text as part of its normal prospect-research workflow.

3. Websites the Extension can access

The Extension supports LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, and public company websites selected by the user. For a generic company website, Clyentz asks the user to grant access to that specific origin before analysis. Granting one site does not grant access to every site the user visits.

4. Information we do not intentionally collect

  • Passwords, banking credentials, payment-card information, or government identification numbers.
  • Third-party authentication cookies, private messages, personal inbox contents, or private device files.
  • Complete browser history, continuous browsing activity, or precise device location.
  • Health information or information unrelated to the user-requested business research.

5. Information sent to Clyentz

When the user requests research or saving, Clyentz may receive the page URL and title, structured public professional/company/contact information, public social URLs, structured research results, the selected workspace, and technical authentication information required to operate the service.

Clyentz does not receive continuous browsing history. Information is transmitted only when required for a user-facing Clyentz feature.

6. Account and authentication information

The Extension stores a scoped, revocable Clyentz extension key, workspace selection, and connection state. The key is sent only to Clyentz over HTTPS and is not intentionally exposed to third-party websites. Extension keys cannot invoke general MCP or administrative server operations.

7. Local storage

Chrome local extension storage holds the connection key, fixed Clyentz production origin, workspace choice, cached workspace names, and interface preferences. Chrome session storage may hold temporary research results and page identity for the current browser session. Clyentz does not use extension storage to maintain a general history of websites visited.

Disconnecting removes the local key and cached workspace/research information. Uninstalling the Extension removes its Chrome-managed local data.

8. How we use information

We use information accessed through the Extension only to provide user-requested research, extraction, enrichment, saving, authentication, security, reliability, abuse prevention, and improvement of the Extension’s user-facing functionality. We do not create unrelated profiles of browsing behavior.

9. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Clyentz uses information obtained through Chrome permissions only to provide or improve the Extension’s disclosed single purpose. We do not sell user data or browsing activity; use Extension data for personalized or retargeted advertising; transfer it to data brokers; or use it to make credit, employment, insurance, housing, or similar high-impact eligibility decisions.

10. Human access

Clyentz personnel do not routinely read information collected through the Extension. Authorized access may occur when the user requests support, to investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents, to meet a legal obligation, or when information has been aggregated or anonymized for legitimate operations.

11. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell Extension information. We disclose it only as necessary to operate, secure, or support Clyentz, comply with law, investigate security threats, or complete a corporate transaction subject to applicable safeguards.

The production service categories used by Clyentz may include:

  • Vercel for application hosting and delivery.
  • Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure.
  • Google only when a workspace user explicitly connects Gmail or Google Calendar features.
  • Apollo or another configured contact provider only when optional, user-requested contact enrichment is enabled.
  • A configured email-verification provider only when the user requests verification and that provider is enabled.

Providers may process only the information needed to perform their service for Clyentz. Optional providers that are not configured receive no Extension information.

12. Third-party enrichment

User-requested research may use an enabled contact or company enrichment provider. Clyentz limits transmitted information to the identity and company signals needed for the request and does not send Extension data for a provider’s unrelated advertising or profiling.

13. Data security

Safeguards include HTTPS, restricted backend access, authentication and authorization controls, scoped and revocable credentials, input validation, rate limiting, logging controls, limited Chrome permissions, and Manifest V3 protections. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

14. Extension permissions

  • activeTab permits temporary interaction with the page on which the user activates Clyentz.
  • scripting runs the locally bundled page-analysis code on an authorized page.
  • storage stores connection, workspace, interface, and temporary research information.
  • sidePanel provides the primary Extension interface.
  • Website access permits interaction with declared supported services or a specific website approved by the user.

15. Browsing activity

The Extension is not a general browsing-history tracker. It accesses the URL and relevant visible content of a page only when that access is necessary for the feature the user invokes. It does not monitor unrelated browsing, build advertising profiles, or sell browsing information.

16. Data retention

Temporary Extension session data is kept only for the current browser session, subject to the Extension’s 24-hour session-cache limit. Local connection/configuration information remains until the user disconnects, clears Extension data, or uninstalls.

Information the user intentionally saves to a Clyentz workspace remains until it is deleted by the user or workspace owner, the account/workspace is deleted, or retention is required for security, legal, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes. Provider and operational records are retained only as reasonably necessary for the requested service and applicable obligations.

17. Deleting your data

Users can disconnect the Extension, clear its data in Chrome, uninstall it, or delete supported records through Clyentz workspace controls. Requests to access, correct, or delete account/workspace information can be made through the support contact published on the Clyentz Chrome Web Store listing.

18. Your choices

Users may decline or revoke optional site permissions, disconnect the Extension, remove saved records where supported, uninstall the Extension, and request access to or deletion of applicable personal information.

19. Children

Clyentz is a professional business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly use the Extension to collect children’s personal information for marketing or advertising.

20. International processing

Clyentz and its service providers may process information in countries other than the user’s country. Where required, we use safeguards designed to meet applicable international-transfer requirements.

21. Legal rights

Depending on location and applicable law, individuals may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of applicable personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. We may need to verify identity before fulfilling a request.

22. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Extension, Clyentz services, laws, or data practices change. If a change materially affects collection, use, or sharing, we will provide appropriate notice or obtain additional consent where required. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.

23. Chrome Web Store compliance

Clyentz intends its handling of information received through Chrome permissions to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and Limited Use requirements. Such information is used only for user-facing Clyentz functionality, service security/reliability, and applicable legal obligations.

24. Contact us

Clyentz operates from Nigeria. Questions, privacy-rights requests, and deletion requests may be submitted through our support page. The official service website is www.clyentz.com.
